1. Journey Out, Zippered wrist money wallet
2. Swiss Gear, RFID protection airport ID / ticket / money passport / wallet
3. Hard Case wallet - aluminum shield
I read online that there was an issue with pick pockets throughout areas in Thailand and that one person even had their credit cards/atm scanned, while on them, at the airport which got me thinking.
So, as a safety measure to ensure we didn't get delayed or lessen our trip with a nightmare situation like that we picked up these inexpensive items for backup.
I used the hard hard case wallet and never had any issues. My husband rocked his passport wallet, tied to his belt loop and in his zip up pocket. He only noted one instance of a women in Bangkok really digging about that he felt was an obvious attempt to pick his pocket and he called her out on it. It was great with it's deep pockets for holding all of our foreign currencies and photocopied passports. I used mine a few times worn around my neck, with it's lanyard style strap. We never used the wrist wallet although I think I prefer it to the similar leg garter band that I've seen online, and will try and use it on my next needed adventure, it fits from wrist to mid arm on me and is comfortable.
I would recommend these or similar items to ensure a carefree journey on your next travel adventure. We picked them all up, one stop at our local TJMAXX and are searchable and shoppable online as well.
