SIDE NOTE: I was wanting to stay at one of the newest and hottest hotels on the strip, the Cosmopolitan, Aria, and/or Vdaro, (City Center) But with the latest outbreak of Legionnaires disease, yes you read that right! (part of the hotel was closed off, we heard this twice thru the grapevine) at the Aria and my last minute call on my friend Sammy, I was unable to get the accommodations that I wanted, what with the convention going on and all, things were booked up and sold out!
We got a free upgrade to a Trump One-Bed Hotel Suite: Full kitchen - Stainless steel appliances, fully stocked with flatwear, water and wine glasses, utensils for cooking. Trumps logo on everything from bottle water to the trash can liners! (The room decor itself was rather boring in design for me. Safe Neutrals, beiges, black, eh, pretty lifeless for Vegas).
POOL: After checking in and checking out our room we shot down to the pool. YUK! small, intimate and PACKED! Di no lickey!!! We found some corner loungers near the cabanas by the jacuzzi (which was empty, who wants to sit in a jacuzzi in the heat?... The Wackers do!) Not impressed with the layout, or design of this area. The jacuzzi seemed very old school (behind the times elements) The expected Trump Gold accents were in play, even the drinking fountains were gold. The music playing (I swear the song playing as we entered kept saying "TRUMP", he has his own song?)... 80's tunes were on play... I guess that's what they may have been going for? Anyhow, we hung out for a bit, chatted up some nice Italian boys visiting from Verona Italy. We had a party to attend that evening so we headed back up to get ready.
We were here to attend the Annual NAHA - Pre dinner party & (City of Hope 2011 Spirit of Life® Gala) ~ crashed it!, (Aisha Tyler was the celebrity host this year) and Cosmoprof @ the Mandalay Bay all part of the PBA Beauty Week. A great evening filled with lots of talent and hard working beauty industry people, Philip Wilson, the Markhams, Mary Rector-Gable from Behind the Chair were a few that we took photos with. After a fun and eventful night of mingling we headed down to our usual MB late night meal at Red, White and Blue, American cuisine, burgers, yum! Then it was back to the Trump to crash out and then move hotels the next afternoon, off to the Palazzo!

Beautiful, GRAND, Italian stylings all around. Venetian glass, statues, marble, granite, SPACIOUS. The reception area was run smooth, professional, gracious and kind staff, very helpful. Our room was AMAZING!!!!!
We were hooked up by 24/7 VIP in a huge, SIENNA SUITE... it had a room just for the elliptical machine! 2 bathrooms, large sunken tub, Huge windows, crushed velvet sofa, dining table. Beautiful furnishings and decor. Great color scheme, modern yet venetian! Luved it!
POOL: After oogling over our amazing suite, we headed straight to the pool deck, but it was drizzling rain, yes, in Vegas, in July! Crazy!!! Soo the pool was closed off... they allowed us to enter for photo purposes only, so I got a great opportunity to capture the pools with zero humans!
We headed toward some music and came across the Azure Luxury Club Pool (to the right and back as you enter the pool deck on the 3rd floor (although the website states the 4th floor?) There was a little path and security guard who stopped us from going another step, we asked him what this was and he answered a private club pool, we then asked, well how do we get in. He said he didn't know, but that we could ask some people over at the front. We did and the next thing you know our wrists were being strapped with entry bracelets! YEAH BUDDY!!! We were in! ... just a few guests were back there in the pool and jacuzzi, some musclely men, but mostly the hotel employees (hott girls in aqua bathingsuits) were walking around. We got a drink at the bar. The DJ was going off with some techno-ravy stuff... found our way over to a grandly, covered lounge area. It was pretty cool! Great views! No food being served, but we hung out and enjoyed the scene. Time to get ready for the NAHAs!!!

What is NAHA? The North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA), the most prestigious photographic beauty competition in North America, celebrates the artistry and skill of the professional salon industry. Each year, individuals are recognized in 13 categories of excellence during a star-studded awards ceremony.
Entering NAHA not only highlights your skills and adds prestige to your portfolio, but also allows you to join the ranks of the industry's brightest and most talented artists. NAHA is part of Beauty Week, North America's largest, most inclusive beauty event held in partnership with Cosmoprof North America and the Professional Beauty Association (PBA).
We had a great time watching the NAHA awards show, with special guest Holly Madison (from the Girls Next door and the Peep Show) Many Amazing Beauty Makers & Artists were in attendance, Michael O'Rourke, Nicholas French, Charlie Price, John Simpson, Dusty Simington just to name a few. Tabatha from Shear Genius was this years Host.
The NAHA after party is always at Eye Candy in the MB, packed with hairdressers and beauty professionals. We enjoyed a drink, some mingling and dancing and then we were off to have our own after party with our small group of friends at HOB, Foundation Room (House of Blues Foundation Room is a selective club for professional and personal entertaining. Every Foundation Room is a unique and beautiful space decorated with art and artifacts from around the world.) Recommended by 24/7 VIP, our friend Sammy. Bottle service and our own area front and center to sit, dance, and play. The Views are way Cool!
Tao Beach Club (@ the Venetian) We came across this by accident, or by way of eves dropping! Public access and topless.. .hmmm, curiosity. We were greated, an exchanging of towels, (no palazzo towels allowed) The girl at the door recognized my Beach Bunny bikini! Entering you could feel the music pulsing... misters, asian decor, pops of orange hues... pools, jacuzzis, I headed straight for this gigantic circular bed, full sun and only a few peeps laying about on it. A hop in the jacuzzi adjacent, with just 1 couple in it. Perfect water temp, shaded area. Next, we decided to change our view and the energy and headed smack dead center, next to the main pool, beach balls bouncing, speakers booming. Found two umbrelled chairs. A run for drinks at the nearby bar, some frozen lemonade. ... it was quite enjoyable, I would absolutely do it again! VIDEO on my Youtube channel Di by the Sea
They began to kick everyone out at 5:00 removing pillows and prepping for the next round, at night TAO turns into a swanky mystical nightclub!
Join the Palazzo | Venetian club
Our last day we decided to stay and enjoy more poolside at the Palazzo and sad to say our last Bloody Mary's :(
We kicked it in a little corner by one of the larger pools, the day was less crowded. We even hopped into the pool on one of the in water lounging chairs, quite nice!
On the way out of town, we hit up the Mad Greek, greek meditteranean eats. (not the one in Baker, that's been around for ever, but the one that now resides near the outlets on the way out of Vegas, "westside") try their deep fried artichokes ~ Good heavens. A naughty appetizer that I am sure will become a regular sin for me in sin city.
