Starwood and Marriott Merge !

 Well the word in the cyber world is that Starwood and Marriott have MERGED ! Making them the Largest Hotel Company in the WORLD and that's golden news to my ears. |

What that means for me as an SPG member and Mariott Rewards member, is MORE TRAVEL OPPORTUNITIES ! More destinations and more accommodations to enjoy and share with you all !
and possibly a miles merger, I hope !
I wasn't able to dig up much more. But I do know there are more surprises in store.

SPG announced that it has added Design Hotels to its collection, becoming the eleventh brand in the chain’s portfolio. Design Hotels are described as a curated selection of individual hotels that offer cultural authenticity and thought-provoking design and architecture.

I just perused some of the properties... the underground one in Turkey looks like a definite must do ! Set in a complex of adjoining ancient caves and traditional homes, The House Hotel Cappadocia offers guests a luxurious update on life in the 5th century....
