The Hotel is pretty funky... our room had a small balcony, with views of Venice Beach. Bright orange Butterfly chairs to sit and people watch in.
This was our first stay in one of their properties. We are really enjoying the boutique style hotels popping up everywhere. We joined their Hotel Rewards Club online, when we booked the room. When we arrived we were greeted with a friendly receptionist who upgraded us. Krieg coffee dispensers, seeing more and more of these in hotel rooms... Jungle print robes ~ BAD ASS! The lamp bases were made of weights (muscle beach).
We enjoyed the view on the Rooftop lounge called, HIGH. Sipped on cocktails and light horderves. Jeff was in his LA element here.
We walked along the boardwalk, checking out all the street vendors, there's this AROMA... heee heeee (lots of medical places $10 bucks will get you a card)
We enjoyed breakfast in the outdoor cafe in the front of the hotel in the Valet area! They had pancackes with Captin' Crunch on them, we had to try them!
The next day we rode from Venice to Marina Del Rey on bike paths the next day. The path started on the beach, detoured into the city a bit and then back to bike paths and down to the harbor. When riding back we were caught in the middle of filming of Dexter, that was really cool, Mr. Wacker loves that show!
We rode around the Harbour a bit, saw a sealion and birds, and watched a man pick out fresh crabs from a crabber.
