We stayed at the Priveleges Aluxes on the coast the greated us with a friendly staff, and some champagne.
The hotel is really nice, moden, clean. Restaurants, bars, pools, on the beach.
* TIP: Be sure you don't get a room with the view of their CEMETARY! Lucky we got an upgrade the next day.
All the rooms come with Jacuzzi tubs.. get one with the views of the resort/beach, you can't go wrong!...
We upgraded our room on the 3rd night for an extra hundski, big suite with amazing views!
BEACHES: The beach is very nice, brown soft sand, umbrellas and loungers. There are servers with menus for their restaurant and a bar nearby, they bring everything to you, which is nice.
Down town, city center had a huge New Years event going off so we walked over to check it out...
All the city officials were there, live latin bands, music, booths and all the island peopls...
Golf carts are the way to get around the entire island, you can do it a few times in a day... be sure to see the shell house, at the most eastrly point, you can stop and walk around this water edge on cliff, lots of art sculptures to admire, gorgeous views looking across the blue sea over to Cancun.
