Have you ever made homemade granola? It is the easiest and most yummy thing you could do for yourself! The recipe is very basic and you can easily tweak the ingredients to make it healthier by using grape seed oil or unsweetened coconut or even using less brown sugar. If you want to kick it up a notch you can add some spices like cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon to give it that wintery comfort feel. My usual tweak is adding cinnamon, vanilla extract, sunflower seeds and pecans. It makes a good size batch that you can store in a container in the fridge for up to a month. Mine never lasts for more than a few days though!! Next time you're at the market grab some ingredients and add your own flare, you won't be disappointed!!
