This year I took my youngest daughter Alexis to fashion week in NYC. She got to work her first show. :) backstage assisting my husband Jeff. On this trip we got to see the Moroccan Oil headquarters, so "tre exotique chic" (I just coined this phrase) No Fashions Night Out during the Feb season shows. :( See my Sept post for last season info. My husband worked 3 Designers, at Lincoln Center where most of the NYFW takes place and Eyebeam, attended 1 after party on the lower east side and a designer show just for fun at Lincoln Center, Theatre.
We used a town car service instead of a taxi this time, to get to and from the airport. Dial 7 Car & Limosine Service, NYC (recommended by a friend residing in NYC, thank you Gabe Chappa ) I booked online. Signed up for easy access next trip out. The ride into the city is one less toll than going out. At this time $12 in and $17 out are the current rates, they just went up. These fees are not included in your fare, nor is your tip. The trip runs approx $60 bucks. (from Newark to Manhattan) You can choose from a sedan (lowest price to luxury sedan 6 bucks more) pretty much the same car on the outside, difference is all the gagets in the seat backs on the interior). There are 3 airports to choose from getting to NY, JFK is the cheapest, $35 plus toll and tip. Dial 7 was on time, you just call the car company when you have landed and picked up your luggage. They will ask for a description of you and any of your traveling companions and give your the car number of the car/driver that are picking you up. On the way home we called for a car instead of booking online. They showed up in 5 minutes ! *Tip be sure to ask up front if the car picking you up takes credit cards, some are independent and only accept cash. Also, be aware of the additional fee for rush hour traffic traveling time.
Yellow taxis are just a bit more expensive than ordering up a car. I say why would you ever... go for the custom route, get a nice clean car/driver connected to a reputable company. *Tip I found an online coupon/code and saved $4 each way ! In my instance a printable coupon was not available so I just took a screen shot and printed the image, the company accepted it just fine. *Tip For those who are really looking for a cheap route/rate there is a bus that runs from Newark into the city for a mere 15.00 flat rate. Clean and safe. (my husband did it)

The best Cuban food ever ! HAVANA CENTRAL. Go ! Time Square.
Another enjoyable dining experience we had was at The Beach Cafe. Warm environment, quaint. Good Americana eats. Friendly staff. Upper East side. The bar at the St. Regis is a must experience very popular, got a lot of likes and "love that bar" from my check-in here by my facebook friends.
